Discover the hidden treasures of Morocco’s countryside on a full-day excursion to Taroudant and the Tiout Oasis, two authentic gems of southern Morocco.
Located in the heart of the Souss Valley, Taroudant lies about 90 km from Agadir, between the High Atlas and Anti-Atlas mountains. Once the capital of the Saadian dynasty in the 16th century, the city has preserved its historical charm with impressive 7.5 km-long ramparts, 130 towers, and monumental gates such as Bab El Kasbah and Bab El Khemis.
Taroudant is also famous for its traditional craftsmanship, including leather goods, wrought iron, Berber silver jewelry, pottery, and painted wood.
The journey continues to the lush Tiout Oasis, renowned for its ancient palm grove with over 20,000 palm trees. Enjoy a walk through the oasis (on foot or by donkey, optional), followed by a traditional Amazigh lunch prepared by local villagers under the shade of the palm trees.
